A senior Cloud Engineer. Who really knows how to build beautiful cloud solutions, and understands how to work on high-quality IT solutions together with a team of engineers. Often a cloud transition is part of the essential modernization, where you are the expert who can take the lead for our customers. You implement and automate the latest offerings to help our customers get the most out of their cloud investments. The ideal candidate can relate to both the team and the client, has good communication skills, has a strong track record in designing and delivering complex solutions and ensures that the result is achieved. He/she is self-starting, likes to learn and work in a dynamic environment.

• Design cloud solution architectures for both greenfield applications and brownfield migrations;

• Modern application solutions in the cloud;

• Mission critical systems that are part of our customer's core business;

• Code review from colleagues from both Lionsville and the client;

• Keep a grip on the promises of the team and ensure that they are fulfilled, or;

• Clear communication with clients about whether or not results are achieved;

• Pair programming, CI/CD, test driven development, containers, serverless, etc;

• You take responsibility in identifying (technical) dependencies with other teams;

• The process of making existing solutions ever greener by implementing technical improvements, cost optimization, code reviews and lifecycle management;

• Incident response and problem solving because what we make must allow the customer to sleep well;

• Your extensive experience with monitoring, logging, observability;

• Your extensive experience in delivering systems with Continuous Delivery/Deployment;

• Your experience with the security aspects of cloud environments;

• Your experience with agile and DevSecOps based working;

• Manage the lifecycle of data products including providing monitoring, security and governance to enable a wide data adoption.

• Deliver data solutions and apply your knowledge to collaborate with key business partners on crafting data pipelines and providing reporting insights.

• Experience implementing and optimising (big) data for analytics and machine learning use-cases, including a good understanding of concepts like column-oriented stores, partitioning, indexing

• Experience on protocols and data formats like Dask, Avro, Parquet

• Strong programming skills in Java/Python/Spark.

• Experience working in public clouds like AWS, Azure or GCP

• You know your way around distributed computing, distributed storage and containerization; Airflow, Kafka, SQL & NoSQL, Docker/Kubernetes, REST API.

• Experience with monitoring tools, data quality assessment and data governance is a plus; Splunk, Prometheus/Grafana, Informatica, Collibra, Databricks Unity

• If you have experience in working with high throughput data in IoT and sensory data industrial applications, it is definitely an advantage

• Effective communication skills (with team members, the business, and in code)
